Coach Barone has been a coaching for 20 years and an athletic administrator in the Naples area for 18 years. She has coached runners from elementary age through high school. During her tenure as a Varsity Head Cross Country and Track Coach her teams won multiple Individual District, Regional, and State Championships and two State Cross Country Team Championships. She was twice named the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Many of her student-athletes have gone on to run in college and two qualified for the Olympic trials! While the accolades her teams earned on the course or track are impressive, her greatest joy of coaching is helping to inspire a happy, healthy, lifelong runners. Coach Barone currently is an athletic administrator in Collier County and can be found running with her husband, Dan or daughters, Lorelai and Shalane in her spare time.
